How do pests get in your home?

Most pests like what people like: food, shelter, warmth, and moisture; and they find your home provides these in abundance.

- Food spills should be thoroughly cleaned up.
- Dispose of garbage daily.
- Areas around pets’ bedding and feeding areas should be cleaned thoroughly.

Over three billion of these greedy varmints feast on the fruits of man’s labor, around the world, destroying as much as one-third of our food supply. Man has been footing the bill for this outrageous free lunch since the dawn of history.
Rodents are gluttons, not gourmets. Their ravenous appetites make the great white shark from “Jaws” look finicky by comparison. Rodents eat about the same kinds of food as do humans, including meats, grains, cereals, seeds, fruits and vegetables. They prefer sweet liquids to pure water for drinking.
Rodents feed 15 to 20 times a day. They do not sit down and eat a large amount of food at one sitting, instead, they duck in and out and dart around picking up a morsel of food here and there. Rodents race to consume 10 to 15 percent of their body weight every 24 hours.
